About The Position

ARC Abrasives is a leading U.S. manufacturer of non-woven abrasives that is growing fast and looking for a Production Cell Coordinator – 3rd Shift to join their existing 3rd shift team. The right candidate can manage the daily operations of a designated manufacturing area (a "production cell"), ensuring smooth workflows, quality products, and efficient use of resources within a specific team or cell. The mission involves organizing and tracking production activities, providing support and guidance to cell members, mitigating production obstacles, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet performance goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in manufacturing or production environment
• Understanding production processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Strong ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a team while also working effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities to handle various tasks and priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with office software and manufacturing systems, such as ERP systems, is often beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct manufacturing processes within a production cell, ensuring that production meets customer specifications and requirements.
• Monitor project schedules and resource availability (staffing, materials, workflow) to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Anticipate and resolve production obstacles, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance overall cell performance and efficiency.
• Provide support, guidance, and encouragement to team members, facilitating training and development to build a more capable and cohesive team.
• Ensure processes and procedures are followed, and maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety within the work cell.
• Track production activities, maintain records, and utilize reporting systems to monitor demand and cell performance metrics.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
