Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and shop floor operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret production drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and technical documents.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn operation of molding presses, CNC/automated machinery, and production equipment.
  • Ability to use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and perform basic quality inspections.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including ability to navigate systems for data entry and documentation (SAP experience preferred).
  • Willingness to work across multiple departments and shifts based on business needs.
  • Commitment to achieving and maintaining required certifications (e.g., quality, safety, QC certification).
  • U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Responsibilities

  • Comply with all federal and state environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as company-specific safety policies and protocols.
  • Participate in structured, rotational training across departments, including molding, machining, finishing, and materials testing.
  • Set up and operate production equipment, including mills, extruders, compression molding presses, CNC and automated machinery, ovens, and other manufacturing equipment in accordance with standardized procedures.
  • Perform molding operations by preparing materials, loading molds, monitoring press cycles, and safely removing finished parts while ensuring adherence to cycle times and quality standards.
  • Select, inspect, clean, and maintain molds and tooling, including use of sandblasting equipment and hoists, as required.
  • Read and interpret production drawings, blueprints, routers, and work instructions to determine specifications, tolerances, and production sequences.
  • Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and perform basic machine setup, calibration, and routine maintenance.
  • Perform quality inspections and testing using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Support production testing activities, including material qualification, mold approval testing, and data collection, as required.
  • Accurately record production, quality, and testing data in company systems (e.g., SAP, data collection systems) and complete required documentation.
  • Prepare materials for production, including cutting, weighing, washing, labeling, and organizing components.
  • Inspect, deflash, and finish molded or machined parts to meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues, identify root causes, and escalate or recommend solutions as appropriate.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional team meetings.
  • Provide support and on-the-job guidance to peers as skills progress.
  • Perform duties in compliance with the Company’s Quality Policy (ISO 9000).
  • Complete assigned daily tasks, special projects, and accurate timekeeping and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned to support production and business needs.
  • Successfully complete company-assigned cross-training curriculum across designated departments (e.g., molding, machining, finishing, and testing).
  • Progress will be reviewed at defined intervals (e.g., 30/60/90 days).
  • Demonstrate competency through hands-on assessments before advancing to additional roles or departments.
  • Develop proficiency in operating multiple machine types and production processes.
