About The Position

Apple TV is seeking a scripted Production Finance Executive to support Apple’s original video content efforts worldwide. The role provides financial oversight and management for Apple TV series productions and reports to the Production Finance Series Lead.

The Production Finance Executive assists with budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and daily production activity. The position oversees timely cost reporting, analyzes actual costs against budgets, and works to ensure accuracy and resolve issues. It also collaborates with Creative, Business Affairs, Labor, and Legal on production budgets, tax credits, cash flow, contract review, and cost analysis. The role hires and manages freelance production accounting teams, oversees production accounting payroll and systems setup, and performs ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in production accounting or production finance management.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience with production tax incentives and related filing processes.
• Working knowledge and experience with union and guild agreements and production payroll.
• Ability to establish partnerships with producers and production teams.
• Proactive approach, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in production accounting software such as Smart Accounting and PSL, Movie Magic Budgeting, and Excel.
• Ability to foster accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the financial management of budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and daily activity for Apple TV series productions.
• Oversee timely cost reporting and analyze actual costs against budget reports to ensure accuracy and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Creative, Business Affairs, Labor, and Legal to create and vet production budgets and strategically resolve issues.
• Identify production tax credit opportunities; prepare applications; and track estimates, audits, and receipt timing.
• Review production cash flow projections and funding requests for accuracy and compliance with contracts.
• Assist with contract review and cost analysis alongside Production and Business Affairs executives.
• Hire and manage freelance production accounting teams to ensure productions follow Production Finance policies and procedures.
• Manage setup of production accounting payroll and systems software.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
