About The Position
Triple-S Steel is seeking a motivated CNC oxy/plasma machine operator. The operator sets up and operates equipment, uses an overhead crane to load and unload steel plates, verifies that finished products meet specifications, and maintains a clean and safe work area. Requirements
- Experience operating CNC plasma and oxy machines.
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings, symbols, and notes.
- Ability to read a tape measure to within 1/16 inch.
- Experience with an overhead crane.
- Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
Responsibilities
- Select correct machine settings for optimal cutting operations.
- Measure materials to assure accuracy with design specifications.
- Select correct material type, stock size, and dimensions.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Keep accurate records of daily operations and material usage.
- Set up and operate CNC oxy/plasma machines.
- Use an overhead crane to load and unload steel plates.
- Verify finished products meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
