About The Position

Clariant is seeking a Production Engineer, Catalyst to support our PPCAT facility in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will manage production line performance and provide technical expertise to improve process reliability, product quality, cost efficiency, and environmental, safety, and health performance. Reporting to the Process Engineer Manager, you will collaborate with plant teams to solve operational challenges, standardize processes, and drive continuous improvement.   • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Clariant policies.
  • Lead or participate in risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
  • Initiate and evaluate process and product modifications through the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Support trials and investment projects.
  • Improve First Pass Quality (FPQ).
  • Address process abnormalities.
  • Support investigations and corrective actions related to customer quality concerns.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and operating procedures.
  • Support operator training on procedures and process changes.
  • Lead collaborative improvement efforts.
  • Apply Clariant Excellence and Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Track performance indicators and implement measurable process improvements.
  • Champion plant management systems, including applicable ISO standards.
  • Reinforce consistent use of established operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily performance of assigned production lines, troubleshooting process and equipment issues with operations teams to maintain safe, reliable production.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Clariant policies; lead or participate in risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
  • Initiate and evaluate process and product modifications through the Management of Change (MOC) process, supporting trials and investment projects.
  • Improve First Pass Quality (FPQ), address process abnormalities, and support investigations and corrective actions related to customer quality concerns.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and operating procedures; support operator training on procedures and process changes.
  • Lead collaborative improvement efforts to strengthen production performance, cost efficiency, quality, safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental protection.
  • Apply Clariant Excellence and Lean Six Sigma tools to track performance indicators and implement measurable process improvements.
  • Champion plant management systems, including applicable ISO standards, and reinforce consistent use of established operating procedures.
