About The Position

Join our team! AWP is growing and we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to manage customer orders from order entry through production planning and shipment readiness. This role is critical to ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on time by coordinating inventory, manufacturing, and outsourced production activities. Requirements

Experience in manufacturing, production planning, inventory control, supply chain, or operations coordination
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows
Experience with BOMs, job orders, routings, and inventory systems
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent organizational and communication abilities
ERP/MRP system familiarity or experience
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong ability to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Post secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
Manufacturing scheduling or production planning
Purchasing and vendor coordination
Inventory management
Contract manufacturing coordination
Custom or made-to-order production environments

Responsibilities

Review incoming customer orders and determine the appropriate production planning path
Verify availability inventory and determine fulfillment quantity gaps
Release available orders for packing and shipment when inventory is sufficient
Coordinate manufacturing activities when inventory is unavailable or insufficient
Create manufacturing job orders and production routing steps for items requiring production
Coordinate internal manufacturing operations for plastic and metal components
Issue purchase orders to Bond, AWP’s sister company, for required wood components
Coordinate painting operations with external paint vendors
Monitor production timelines and prioritize work to meet customer delivery dates
Evaluate production capacity, order size, manufacturing lead times, and delivery deadlines
Determine whether production can complete orders internally within required timelines
Coordinate outsourced manufacturing when internal capacity or timing constraints require it
Work with external component manufacturers and vendors to source complete items or individual components as needed
For products that have never been manufactured before: Create new item numbers and Bill of Materials (BOMs), Define manufacturing processes and job routing steps, coordinating internal and external manufacturing resources as required, Create and release production job orders
