About The Position

Tempur Sealy’s Brenham, Texas plant is seeking a Production Coordinator. The role supports departmental production operations by maintaining workflow, ensuring materials are available, helping keep repairs and rework timely, and contributing to a safe and clean work environment. The coordinator may perform all jobs within the department and function, serve as a subject matter expert, train new associates, and work on projects assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals, and comprehend basic instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other personnel.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of manufacturing experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and participate as a fully empowered team member.
• Report unsafe activities or machine conditions to the supervisor.
• Assist the supervisor with providing personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform all jobs in the department and function and may serve as the department’s subject matter expert.
• Maintain workflow and ensure adequate materials are stocked so associates can continue working.
• Ensure the repairs and rework process is completed in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the supervisor to develop solutions to department issues.
• Maintain and clean the assigned work area, keeping it clear of rework, scrap materials, and unnecessary items.
• Provide training to new associates as needed.
• Work on special projects assigned by the supervisor.
