About The Position

The Production Controller is responsible for creating and maintaining enterprise production schedules to help ensure production teams meet company goals and objectives. The role includes regular material analysis to ensure components are available and released for production, as well as monthly reviews of stock levels and projected inventory balances. Purchase requisitions are created as needed to maintain adequate inventory.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in production scheduling and planning, or production control preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to manage multiple production schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
  • Ability to optimize workflow and performance.
  • Ability to create short- and long-term production schedules.
  • Strong analytical skills.

  • SAP experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining enterprise production schedules to help ensure production teams meet company goals and objectives.
  • Reviewing regular material analysis to ensure components are available and released for production, as well as monthly reviews of stock levels and projected inventory balances. Purchase requisitions are created as needed to maintain adequate inventory.
  • Work closely with production teams to align production schedules with available resource capacity.
  • Create process orders in SAP S/4HANA and communicate assigned lot numbers to the batch issuance team for the creation and distribution of batch records.
  • Monitor incoming EDI orders and other customer demand inputs and partners with Production and Quality to resolve supply issues, ensuring orders are filled and shipped to meet customers’ requested delivery dates.
  • Strong multitasking skills are needed to support production team members with timely responses to simultaneous issues.
  • Communicate status updates and production changes and assist the Supply Chain Manager with customer communications regarding manufacturing and release schedules.
  • Identify potential material risks for upcoming schedules and takes appropriate action to ensure supply continuity.
  • Monitor production confirmations completed by production teams to support accurate, timely confirmations.
