About The Position

Quest Global is seeking a Production Controller to support production planning and execution in an on-site role in Melbourne, Florida. The position coordinates material availability, production schedules, work order release, capacity planning, inventory accuracy, supplier activity, and delivery commitments to help ensure on-time, in-full delivery to customers. It also supports production teams with escalation management, engineering change introduction, KPI tracking, customer reschedule analysis, and monthly SI&OP activities. The role works closely with supply chain, production execution, manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and other internal teams, and uses SAP for planning, inventory management, shop-floor execution, and purchase-order transactions. This position is on site in a shop-floor environment and requires rotating shifts: Schedule A is 7:00 AM–4:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Friday; Schedule B is 7:00 AM–4:30 PM Monday through Thursday. Candidates must arrange their own transportation to meet the required hours. No travel is required, and U.S. citizenship is required.

Requirements

Industry degree in business, operations, or supply chain, or equivalent experience.
Experience and demonstrated success in a planning role.
Proficiency in SAP planning and shop-floor execution.
Extensive experience with SAP Inventory Management.
Experience generating and communicating capacity plans.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Strong analytical skills and advanced MS Office skills.
Understanding of business KPIs and financial goals.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and work as part of a team.
Knowledge of manufacturing operations systems, including ACE or Six Sigma.
Ability to commute to the work location using personal transportation arrangements and meet the required work hours.
Ability to work in a shop-floor environment that may involve extensive walking and lifting up to 40 pounds.
U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

Attend daily Tier reviews.
Work with the supply chain team to manage escalations for internal and external supply.
Review material availability using X-Charts and mismatch information.
Support the supervisor in managing Lines of Balance for assigned Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
Develop production and kitting plans.
Manage work order release in line with MPS requirements.
Control inventory and maintain inventory accuracy.
Manage escalations when sustained deviations from plan occur.
Manage introduction of engineering changes.
Manage SAP inventory transactions in accordance with agreed processes.
Coordinate production schedules, materials, and equipment with the Production Execution Team to support on-time, in-full customer delivery.
Perform capacity analysis using business tools and identify risks and opportunities.
Communicate customer delivery commitments.
Provide daily updates on delivery misses and capture root causes.
Manage KPIs as required.
Investigate customer reschedule requests, analyze MRP and sales impacts, and communicate findings.
Support the monthly SI&OP process with data input and meeting discussions.
Support the team in using ACE tools, including 5S, TPM, and turnback collection.
Work with suppliers and the internal network to mitigate material supply gaps.
Communicate promptly with manufacturing, engineering, and other relevant internal functions.
Analyze and evaluate bids to select suppliers.
Issue and update purchase orders in SAP.
Expedite parts.
Evaluate vendor reliability.
Track daily supplier shipments.
Perform price justifications.
Apply contract and purchase-order knowledge.
Control incoming material flow to efficiently meet manufacturing requirements.
