About The Position

The Production Controller plays a critical role in the company by managing and solving material issues to ensure all necessary parts are available on the assembly line on time. This role involves working with different departments to maintain efficient material flow, overseeing complex processes that impact company costs, and acting as the interface between the Assembly Line, Procurement, and Warehouse for all material aspects, including physical and accounting movements. The position requires a cooperative attitude, initiative, and the ability to address daily issues effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Production scheduling or relevant experience in a similar role is required.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong attitude to deal with daily problems.
  • Expertise in MS Office

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory Management experience is preferred.
  • Logistic material experience is preferred.
  • Supply chain knowledge is preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • MES/JIRA/FAST experience preferred.
  • Internal Logistic Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and solve material issues to ensure parts are available on time on the assembly line.
  • Work with different departments to maintain and respect the correct material flow.
  • Ensure all aspects of the material supply on the shop floor run efficiently.
  • Oversee complex processes that have a big impact on company costs.
  • Work closely with the Procurement Department and Production Planning team to ensure the availability of materials and components.
  • Release and print work orders (routings) created by the Engineering Department for specific tasks and reworks.
  • Track the progress of work orders, monitor their status, and ensure the process is closed once the activity is done.
  • Act as the interface and referring point for any material aspect between all functions on the Assembly Line, Procurement, and Warehouse.
  • Be in charge of any physical and accounting movement of the material.
  • Cooperate and deal with coworkers from other company functions with a good initiative-taking approach to face daily issues.
  • Monitor, expedite, and escalate missing parts through company tools (SAP).
  • Request and track parts from the Warehouse (replacing parts, missing parts, etc.).
  • Ensure parts scheduled for activities are physically present on the material racks.
  • Track missing parts tied to scheduled job cards and provide them as soon as available in the Warehouse.
  • Monitor and close open tasks assigned from other Departments.
  • Oversee the material racks remaining in order and help Production to keep the work bay clean.
