About The Position

The Production Control Scheduler coordinates manufacturing schedules and supports production planning, workflow optimization, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. The role uses Microsoft Excel to plan production, track inventory, analyze capacity, and report results. It works with production, materials, customer service, purchasing, inventory, and operations teams to help ensure material availability, on-time delivery, and operational goal achievement.

Requirements

• Experience coordinating production schedules and optimizing workflow in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Skill using Microsoft Excel for production planning, inventory tracking, capacity analysis, and reporting, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charts, data analysis, and forecasting tools.
• Knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, materials management, inventory control, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to minimize downtime and meet delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with production control, purchasing, inventory, and operations teams to ensure material availability.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to identify waste, improve process flow, and increase productivity.
• Analyze production data and generate reports using Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and forecasting tools.
• Track KPIs such as schedule attainment, throughput, inventory levels, and on-time delivery.
• Support continuous improvement projects and participate in root cause analysis for production delays.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate schedule changes to the production department and management.
