About The Position

As a Production Control Planner, you will be responsible for developing and executing production-planning schedules. This role involves determining plant production requirements based on sales & operations planning, open customer orders, and annual production goals. You will attend/facilitate daily and weekly planning/scheduling meetings with the production team, and develop finite schedules to optimize plant operations while balancing business needs. Daily monitoring of order releases, priority customer orders, and work center inventory levels is crucial to maintain on-time delivery. Collaboration with other departments is essential to ensure valid scheduling and compliance, and to expedite orders when necessary. This role also includes supply and demand date reconciliation and incorporating customer requests into production schedules, ensuring orders are started on time and releases are within established WIP Inventory policies. Additionally, you will conduct cycle counting and support yearly inventory audits. Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two-year degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field or two years of experience in a production environment with basic inventory and manufacturing concepts.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Solid computer background utilizing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize.
  • High level of energy and initiative, as well as time management skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work individually or in a team, and build cross-functional relationships.
  • Embrace process standardization and champion change.
  • Data collection, documentation, and report generation.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

  • CPIM Certification desirable.
  • SAP/IPT experience (OMP/APO/MRP/ERP) or similar planning system experience preferred.
  • Willingness to flex hours as needed to support 24/7 manufacturing site needs.
