About The Position

Flowserve is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate and manage production planning and scheduling for the manufacture of optical systems and subsystems. The role works closely with the line Manager to make business decisions that support customer needs while meeting quality, inventory, cost, and delivery requirements.

Requirements

Fluency and proficiency in the practical application of MRP logic, scheduling logic, order policies, capacity planning, input/output control, product structures, routings, and standards maintenance.
Knowledge of master scheduling, production planning and detailed scheduling, demand management, purchasing, and cost accounting techniques.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well with employees at all levels and with internal departments in a diverse environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
A BS or BA degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Manage planning inputs, including sales orders, OEM forecasts, custom and special orders, and strategic build plans.
Use the MRP system to translate consolidated sales forecasts into a master production schedule or build schedule.
Prepare and distribute weekly production schedules and work order dispatch lists.
Assist management in resolving late shipments, material shortages, customer schedule changes, and order cancellations.
Prepare, coordinate, and participate in physical inventory counts.
Initiate and coordinate vendor corrective actions for non-conforming material receipts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
