About The Position

The Plant Production Control & Logistics Manager manages a plant’s logistics activities and deploys Shape’s Production Control & Logistics (PC&L) policy. The role leads material handling, shipping, and receiving functions; manages material flow through the plant using Shape PC&L and SES tools; and ensures team members are adequately staffed, trained, and developed. The manager implements and manages PC&L tools and monitors logistics performance, coordinating improvement actions with other plant functions. The role also participates in developing the Division PC&L network.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a similar field.
• Experience in production in an industrial environment, preferably automotive.
• Very strong Excel skills.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform each essential duty effectively, with reasonable accommodations available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead all material handling functions in the plant.
• Lead all shipping and receiving functions in the plant.
• Manage the flow of material through the plant using Shape PC&L and SES tools.
• Ensure adequate staffing, training, and development of team members.
• Implement and manage PC&L tools, including inventory layouts, Leveling boards, TPA's, production instruction kanban, kanban launchers, flat warehouse area, and AMR routes.
• Monitor logistics performance and implement necessary improvement actions in coordination with other plant functions, including Quality, SES, and planning.
• Participate in the development of the Division PC&L network.
