The Production Chemist III will be responsible for the bulk formulating of diagnostic reagents of high complexity, including custom recipes and intermediates, in accordance with approved written procedures and policies. This role involves leading and training team members on the manufacturing of medium to high complexity products, participating in the planning, scheduling, and organizing of product teams to meet production deadlines, and completing production documentation while maintaining quality records to GDP/GMP standards. The position also requires monitoring manufacturing processes and performing adjustments as necessary to meet required yields, performing variance reviews, and making necessary notations for process orders for Supervisors and Finance. Additionally, the Production Chemist III will perform data entry and inventory control utilizing the ERP database, support assigned products, and serve as a primary technical resource or subject matter expert for various departments. The role includes leading/performing Root Cause Analysis, Quality Notifications, and implementing Corrective Actions to improve product quality or process efficiency. Participation in/leading continuous improvement projects by analyzing and interpreting experimental data using Lean Six Sigma, assisting with generating new procedures, and working closely with R&D and product transfer teams are also key responsibilities. The role also involves participating in the training and development of new products and assisting in the building/modifying of product recipes and Bill of Materials.
