About The Position

Operate process equipment to produce products that meet internal and customer specifications and in quantities sufficient to ship as scheduled. The primary assignment designation does not limit the Company from changing the primary assignment at any time or for any length of time. Specific job requirements will be taught by qualified trainers using established operating procedures and work instructions as guidelines.

The role involves working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, with considerable walking and standing on different floor levels. The operator works with limited supervision and as part of a team, analyzes data and conditions, and takes corrective action according to procedures and work instructions.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in the industrial minerals industry or another continuous process industry.
• Good demonstrated computer skills and the ability to use or learn to use a computer keyboard.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and take initiative.
• Communication skills, including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, understanding verbal instructions, and interpersonal relations skills.
• Ability to work in an environment emphasizing teamwork.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
• Ability to stand, walk, use stairs, and climb ladders to product storage bins.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow procedures, work instructions, and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment according to procedures, work instructions, and daily operating instructions.
• Perform in-process production testing as specified in the Process Test Frequency Manual.
• Provide production samples to the QA Lab as specified in the Process Test Frequency Manual.
• Record and document process operating data.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Work safely and productively.
• Prepare maintenance work orders.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.
• Analyze data and conditions and take corrective action according to procedures and work instructions.
• Follow job procedures and work instructions and abide by safety rules.
