Production Associate- Wescott Blvd, Knoxville
About The Position
Trulite is hiring a Production Associate for its tempering oven operation at 2522 Wescott Blvd in Knoxville. The role involves moving and transporting glass and other materials, attaching labels and tags, inspecting product quality, operating or manually maneuvering equipment, and helping maintain safe and efficient production flow. Associates perform different production functions on a rotating basis and are expected to attend work regularly, perform tasks safely, and follow all safety policies and procedures. The position is on the day shift, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds independently.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and use a tape measure effectively.
- Flexible availability to work in all areas of production, typically Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.
Nice To Haves
- One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility is highly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Overhead crane experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Move glass from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates throughout the workday.
- Transport materials, including glass, between positions or locations to expedite production.
- Read and attach appropriate labels and tags to products.
- Perform quality inspections and operate or manually maneuver equipment.
- Understand the facility layout to ensure proper product flow.
- Perform different job functions on a rotating basis and work in all areas of production as needed.
- Inspect products for abnormalities and promptly notify a supervisor of issues such as fabrication problems or logo placement.
- Use a tape measure to ensure products meet specifications.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance and follow safety policies and procedures.
