About The Position

Primarily responsible for maintaining production equipment elements like start-up, operation, changeover, shutdown and preventative maintenance. Equipment may include but is not limited to: extrusion line equipment, tools and/or dies. Must be able to: Stack material from line onto pallet, Perform visual quality checks of materials and purge imperfections while stacking, Obtain can samples (can/sheet) and present to Quality Control lab for testing, Assist with start-ups and shutdowns on the extrusion line, Assist wherever is needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Willingness to contribute to a continuous improvement environment
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in a plant/manufacturing environment, preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English for training/safety purposes
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift and overtime as needed
• Ability to understand and communicate in English sufficiently to safely perform job duties, follow work instructions, understand safety requirements, and respond to emergency situations
• Must be willing to take on new assignments/job tasks as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Obtaining can samples (can/sheet) and presenting to Quality Control lab for testing.
• Assisting with start-ups and shutdowns on the extrusion line.
• Assisting wherever is needed and performing additional duties as assigned.
