This is a temporary position that may lead into becoming permanent. The Assembler is responsible for non-electrical assembly and rework. The role involves ensuring pulled parts for specific assemblies agree with the Bill of Material, preparing sub-assemblies, and assembling finished products using sub-assemblies and additional parts. The Assembler will operate a variety of equipment, perform ongoing visual inspection, test finished products, and conduct repairs to faulty assemblies. Product upgrades/conversions, preparation of packing material, packaging of finished products, and workstation clean-up are also key responsibilities. The role requires working in compliance with SOP’s / ISO, PIP (Partners in Protection) and Safety Programs, interpreting and following instructions, and working well with others. Good housekeeping skills, continual standing and lifting, and the ability to do some heavy lifting are necessary. Basic mathematics and a minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent are required.
