About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the plant, including tasks like loading, unloading, cycle counting, shipping, receiving and organizing stock.

Requirements

Accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and other team members.
Ability to perform basic calculations
Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment is often preferred.
Prior experience using an ERP or MRP system is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently lifting less than 10.

Safe Operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment
Receiving and inspecting materials
Loading and unloading of trucks, containers, and railcars
Put away and retrieve material
Packaged and shipped orders and delivery of raw materials to production
Perform inventory counts as needed
Maintain accurate shipping documents and receiving receipts and ensure all information is keyed into the software system
Collects information for damaged claims and communicates those damages to Supervisor
Other projects and tasks as assigned.
