About The Position

Westtown School seeks an experienced Registered Nurse or LPN to work part-time in our Upper School Student Wellness Center. The part-time nurse will work from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule of three days one week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two days the following week (Monday and Friday). Some additional shifts may be available. This is an academic-year position starting in late August and running through early June. As a member of our dynamic team of healthcare professionals, the part-time overnight nurse will oversee and respond to the medical needs of our Upper School boarding students. Westtown School is an independent, Quaker pre-K to 12, college-preparatory day and boarding school located in suburban West Chester, PA, approximately 30 miles from Philadelphia. Requirements

• Current PA RN or LPN license
• A minimum of 1-3 years of medical-surgical experience
• Strong assessment skills
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Provides quality medical care and first aid to students
• Arranges, distributes, and administers medications, as necessary
• Documents and maintains student health records
• Maintains school medical supplies
• Accurately documents all activities and procedures promptly
• Serves as a resource for students’ physical and mental health concerns
• Provides timely communication regarding student healthcare to parents, the medical director, the Dean of Students, Dorm Parents, advisers, and others as needed.
