About The Position

The Production Associate sorts salable from salvage material and prepares merchandise for sale, supporting the production plant and retail operation. The role evaluates product value, prepares goods for retail, maintains merchandise and supply levels, and helps keep the work area clean and safe. The position also supports customer satisfaction and contributes to team efforts as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required.
• No specific skills, knowledge, or licenses required.
• Ability to lift and carry 30–40 pounds; stand for long periods; frequently bend, kneel, reach, stoop, squat, and push; climb ladders; and travel across stairs, ramps, and uneven terrain.
• Ability to organize, sort, categorize, count, add, and subtract; interpret data; solve problems; communicate with the public; create and read written communication; and complete written orders.

Responsibilities

• Remove salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
• Evaluate and determine product value.
• Prepare salable goods for retail stores.
• Maintain production tallies.
• Maintain adequate merchandise in the retail store.
• Identify goods for special sales and auctions.
• Process and remove unsold items as appropriate.
• Maintain supplies inventory.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Demonstrate safe work practices, report potential hazards or accidents, and support a safety culture.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
