About The Position

The Production Associate fabricates and produces component parts for the final assembly of windows. The work involves repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units, and may include supporting window operations by delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows. Associates may work across a variety of departments and use hand or power tools, saws, welders, routers, and other needed equipment. The role is fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive, involving extended standing and continual lifting. Associates may also provide on-the-job training to new employees.

The posting lists first-shift hours as 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and third-shift hours as 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. The stated base pay is $16.00 per hour, with a $1.50-per-hour differential for third shift. The position is based at 433 N. Main St., Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually, above shoulder height and below the waist.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• Support window operations by delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows as needed.
• Perform workstation functions using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions.
• Read and carry out simple written instructions.
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules.
• Use a tape measure; inspect, examine, and observe products for defects.
• Make fraction and decimal conversions.
• Operate equipment needed to perform the job.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
