Snap-on Production Associate
About The Position
Snap-on's Tool Storage plant in Algona, Iowa, is hiring Production Associates. Starting wages are $23.20 per hour, with increases every 30 days worked until reaching top pay of $26.73 per hour. Openings are typically on second and third shifts, with occasional first-shift openings. First shift runs 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with overtime between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.; second shift runs 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with overtime between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m.; and third shift runs 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., with overtime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Overtime is paid after eight hours per day and on Saturdays. New associates are typically assigned to assembly, welding, or painter helper positions. Assembly associates assemble and pack tool storage units. Welding associates form (bend) and spot-weld metal components. Painter helpers hang and remove parts from the paint line and handle loads to and from the line.
Requirements
- High school education.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to repetitively handle 5 to 35 pounds.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Regular attendance.
