About The Position

Atlas Molded Products is seeking Production Associates for its Byron Center, Michigan facility. The role involves following daily direction from the manager and carrying out production tasks in accordance with production instructions, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and departmental procedures. Associates inspect and package parts, document required information, handle and assemble materials, operate assigned equipment, and maintain an orderly work area. The role also involves operating recycling equipment to process EPS.

Requirements

General understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
Able to use simple math, count, and use basic handheld measuring tools.
Able to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds and safely operate assigned machinery.
Able to tolerate temperature changes throughout the shift and perform the listed physical activities.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
Fluency in English, written and spoken, is preferred.
High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

Report to the manager at the start of the shift to receive direction for the day.
Inspect and package parts according to specification pages and record required information on in-process sheets.
Bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble, and/or label materials according to production instructions.
Operate side-wrappers and pallet jacks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Operate Pre-breaks/Re-Grinding equipment to recycle EPS.
Follow general safety requirements and departmental procedures.
