About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate for a manufacturing role at its Shelbyville, Indiana site. The position operates CNC-controlled production equipment in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on safety and quality. The starting base pay is $18.25 per hour. The listed shift is 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; hours may vary depending on operations. The role is permanent and full-time.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Microsoft knowledge.
Ability to read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist.
Must be willing and able to work overtime.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a related area.
Experience with a side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, stretch wrap machine, and various pneumatic equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC-controlled machines, including presses, lasers, and rolling mills, in a fast-paced production setting with an emphasis on safety and quality.
Utilize scanning equipment.
Visually inspect work for defects according to quality standards.

Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve production and eliminate waste.
