About The Position

Sets up and operates cell manufacturing and test equipment in order to produce final product. Inspects parts as needed for product quality. Performs standard work and uses process control methods to complete the manufacturing process. Performs routine preventative maintenance on tools and equipment. Reads and interprets all process documents, follows detailed procedures and maintains applicable records. Assists in training of new associates on standard processes within manufacturing, changeovers and inspection. Communicates cell production issues to Production Team Leader and/or other team members. Interfaces with purchasing, engineering, and customer service as needed to deliver product to meet customer expectations. Willingness to work in numerous capacities, ranging from molding, machine operating, assembly, potting, washing, painting, inspecting, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, safety rules, quality instruction and process documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports, productivity charts, and production correspondences.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and/or apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Continuously required to stand, walk, reach with hand or hands, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects, lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Frequent forward bending and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Previous industrial assembly background is preferred, but not required, however a verifiable and solid work history is.
  • Knowledge of gauging processes is a plus.
