About The Position

Avantor is a trusted supplier to mining and assay laboratories worldwide. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for Production Operators to join our team in Sparks, Nevada. In this role, you’ll help produce and package cupels—small, porous containers used to separate precious metals like gold and silver from base metals. If you’re someone who enjoys staying active and working with your hands, this could be a great fit.

Requirements

Previous production or warehouse experience preferred
OSHA Forklift and/or HAZMAT certification preferred
High school diploma or GED is a plus
Basic English skills (written and verbal)
Ability to follow instructions and shift priorities quickly
Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
Comfortable with documentation and simple math
Team player with a strong focus on safety and quality

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and clean production equipment
Inspect products and monitor machines during production
Package finished goods and maintain accurate records
Follow safety procedures and keep work area clean and organized
Report equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor
Meet production goals for quality and efficiency
Assist with inventory counts and general site maintenance
Support other tasks as needed
Monitor the production process system to ensure proper operation.
Inspect, check and document process production activities.
Perform container preparation, bulk and non-bulk filling, shipping and receiving activities and other production and facility capacities as assigned.
Ensure safety, quality of workmanship, efficiency and timeliness when performing the assigned work.
