About The Position

The Production Associate works in a fast-paced food-processing environment, preparing meat products for production lines or the next stage of processing. The role uses tools, processes, and materials to process and package products according to planned schedules, company requirements, and customer specifications. Work includes product receiving and selection, packaging, sorting, re-boxing, marination, further processing, and facility sanitation. The position requires continual work in refrigerated conditions of 35°F–45°F and periods of work in a freezer at temperatures from -10°F to +10°F, with company-provided apparel. Work may require overtime with or without notice, and the finish time depends on completion of the work.

Requirements

• Able to work continually in a refrigerated environment at 35°F–45°F.
• Able to work for periods of time in a freezer environment at -10°F to +10°F while wearing company-provided apparel.
• Able to work overtime as needed, potentially with or without notice.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills preferred.
• Able to perform the listed physical activities, including frequent standing, lifting weights of 10–100 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing or balancing, stooping or squatting, kneeling, bending, and manipulating objects; continuous grasping is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Experience in production, warehouse, food processing, manufacturing, food production, or food service warehouse environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meat products to feed production lines or prepare them for the next processing stage.
• Use tools, processes, and materials to process and package meat products within planned schedules.
• Follow food safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), manufacturing requirements, and safety regulations.
• Visually inspect meat products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Meet company standards and customer specifications.
• Assist with cleanliness of the general work area and facility sanitation.
• Perform activities including product receiving and selection, packaging, sorting, re-boxing, marination, and further processing.
• Complete miscellaneous and other duties as assigned.
• Work overtime as needed.
