About The Position

The Associate I, Retail Production primarily works in a production environment processing and sorting donated items according to company quality standards and guidelines to determine which products will be placed for sale. Duties include pricing and testing items as required and keeping the sales floor stocked, organized, and presentable. The Associate may interact with customers, answer product questions, and is expected to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment. The Associate may be assigned to trained areas such as hardlines, softlines, housewares, electronics, mechanical goods, books, or shoes, depending on business needs, and may occasionally work in donations or process e-commerce products. The position is full-time, pays $16.51 per hour, and requires working one of the specified schedules: Sunday through Thursday production or Tuesday through Saturday production. The schedule may also vary to include evenings and holidays as needed.

Ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
Ability to work the required Sunday-through-Thursday or Tuesday-through-Saturday production schedule and a varied schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime.

One year of retail experience.

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards and key performance indicators for assigned duties.
Sort donated items by type, season, color, and product quality.
Hang, size, price, tag, and prepare items for sale on the sales floor.
Inspect and quick-test plug-in or battery-operated items as needed to ensure they are in workable condition.
Price products according to company standards for quality and value, researching items when necessary.
Keep production and sales-floor areas organized, stocked, properly merchandised, and clean.
Provide customer service to staff and customers and answer product questions as needed.
Rotate or remove old and unsold products from the sales floor in a timely manner.
Process e-commerce products when assigned, including sorting, hanging, sizing, pricing, and tagging.
Follow retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
Keep work areas clear and organized and follow continuous improvement standards.
Cross-train in other departments or areas and provide backup as required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
