About The Position

We are looking for a talented Production Associate - Level I to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC.

Requirements

• Must be able to operate manual and automated equipment at the required cycle time.
• Must be able to identify, contain, and escalate non-conforming materials.
• Must be able to perform routine housekeeping, cleaning, and operator-level maintenance.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with peers, skilled trades, and support teams.
• Must be able to participate in efforts that enhance safety, quality, material flow, and employee development.
• Must be able to follow standard work, documentation, and quality procedures.
• Must be able to recognize how daily tasks affect the environment and take steps to minimize negative impact.
• Must be able to stop unsafe work, report hazards immediately, and use proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Championing Safe Work Practices — Stopping unsafe work, reporting hazards immediately, and using proper PPE to strengthen an interdependent, injury‑free workplace.
• Supporting Environmental Responsibility — Recognizing how daily tasks affect the environment and taking steps to minimize negative impact.
• Maintaining High Quality Standards — Following standard work, documentation, and quality procedures to prevent defects and reduce cost exposure.
• Managing Non‑Conforming Material — Identifying, containing, and escalating non‑conforming materials to protect product integrity.
• Delivering Reliable Production Output — Operating manual and automated equipment at the required cycle time to meet production goals and customer expectations.
• Maintaining Equipment and Work Areas — Performing routine housekeeping, cleaning, and operator‑level maintenance to support equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Collaborating Effectively With Teams — Communicating clearly with peers, skilled trades, and support teams to keep operations aligned and issues resolved.
• Contributing to Continuous Improvement — Participating in efforts that enhance safety, quality, material flow, and employee development.
