About The Position

AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA, has an immediate opening for a full-time Production Associate specializing in field kit fabrication. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that has experience using a variety of hand tools, light machinery, and various raw materials to fabricate customized testing kits. These customer specific kits are used in the water treatment industry and help our customers to sustain a cleaner and environmentally safer global water supply. This is a position that requires an ability to work independently throughout much of the day, and must be willing to focus on quality, receive direction, understand product specifications, and perform multiple tasks related to the entire production life-cycle process. Must be able to comprehend exact product specifications and project layout, safely use an assortment of light tools and machinery to cut and lay-out foam and other raw materials and have attention to detail to ensure a quality and efficient production process. Above all, the candidate must be able to remain dependable and share a common focus toward quality and commitment to customers. Training will include job-shadowing and hands-on support from an experienced fabricator willing to demonstrate how to work with and lay-out projects to meet job specifications.

Requirements

Minimum of a High school diploma or GED.
Proficiency in operating lite machinery such as band saw, heating torch, and molding/fabricating equipment.
Excellent eyesight and color vision.
Good dexterity.
Attention to detail.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to meet physical demands required by the position.
Experience using a variety of hand tools, light machinery, and various raw materials to fabricate customized testing kits.

Responsibilities

Comprehend and verbally communicate using the basic English language and have the ability to follow and interpret directions.
Read measurements, verify dimensions, and interpret customer specifications.
Maintain an efficient production schedule.
Test products for their functionality and trouble shoot/resolve design errors.
Read and understand product schematics and assembly instructions.
Participate in product development meetings.
Consistently adhere to assembly safety standards.
Wear appropriate PPE as required by Company and OSHA standards.
Demonstrate a positive work ethic and a sense of urgency in completing work assignments; maintaining a proactive “can do” approach to all responsibilities.
Ability to work overtime when necessary to maintain customer expectations.
