About The Position

The Production Associate II at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions performs various window and door assembly operations while helping safely produce quality products, minimize waste and cost, and deliver products to customers on time. The role helps maintain the flow of materials through the plant and requires working with urgency while following customer-demand rates and standardized operations. The position may perform tasks across the plant and in various departments as directed by supervision or management.

Requirements

Ability to read a tape measure and interpret fractions and decimals.
Ability to read at least minimum word and number recognition and visual cues.
Ability to operate power tools dexterously, perform basic operations, and know when to change personal protective equipment.
Ability to identify hazards and understand station-specific safety hazards, protocols, and PPE.
Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances.
Ability to follow instructions and standard work, frequently referencing standard work instructions.
Knowledge of product defects specific to the workstation and in-station quality requirements/CTQ.
Effective communication skills, including active listening, clear and accurate explanations, asking questions, and sharing important information.
Time-management skills and awareness of cycle times.
Ability to perform addition and subtraction, including fractions and decimals.
Ability to use a computer system, including accessing, navigating, and identifying downloads.
Dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Ability to recognize profiles and shapes and compare them with sample drawings.
Ability to wear required PPE, including metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses.
Ability to bend, squat, twist, push and pull, reach, and stand.
Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds for 8 to 12 hours a day.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
Willingness and ability to work in various positions and departments as a cross-trained employee.
Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks and stand for long periods.
Ability to follow supervisor instructions and directions.
Problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and initiative.
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma is preferred.
Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionality.

Responsibilities

Operate hand tools as required; assemble, lift, pick, and pack products.
Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
