About The Position

Performs multiple production tasks within one department to manufacture various products. Handles materials such as rubber, stretch cord, and packing materials. Works under close supervision, following prescribed processes, standard work methods, operating procedures, and job aids. The role requires proficiency in spoken and written English, including reading.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English, including the ability to speak, read, and write.
• 0–2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Ability to perform intermittent physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may weigh 50 pounds or more or be awkward.

Nice To Haves

• Experience reading a tape measure or other measurement devices.
• Basic math skills.
• High school diploma or GED is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned department processes, including inserting materials, clamping, fitting parts, and using hand tools.
• Cut materials to dimensions specified on fabrication spec sheets; use a tape measure to determine cut lengths, read work orders, and double-check measurements.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Complete material assemblies and sub-assemblies using bench processes and required hand, electronic, and pneumatic tools.
• Notify the supervisor of mechanical, material, or safety issues.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Follow standard work methods, standard operating procedures, and job aids.
• Pack finished goods in the correct packages and boxes using assigned packing materials, then place them on the designated pallet.
