About The Position

Our client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking a Production Associate I for a contract position in Hartford, Connecticut. The role involves grading products for quality control and preparing products for shipment by repacking them into smaller increments. Work takes place in a cooler section kept at 45–55 degrees. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and employees are expected to stay if work remains to be completed. The contract duration is 2,720 hours, approximately one year. No travel is required.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to perform work assignments at an acceptable productivity level.
• Must wear steel-toe or composite boots covering the ankle starting on the first day.
• No prior experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Grade products for quality control.
• Repack cases into smaller increments.
• Assemble boxes, label, stack, and stock packages for shipment.
• Clean and sanitize the work area.
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures for handling and producing tomatoes according to Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.
