About The Position

The Production Associate 3 at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions performs window and door assembly operations to safely produce quality products, minimize waste and cost, and support on-time customer delivery. The role maintains material flow throughout the plant and works with urgency while following standardized operations and customer-demand rates. Associates may work across positions and departments as needed, support workplace safety and quality, and contribute to continuous improvement and employee engagement. The position is located at 300 Welcome Center Blvd, Lexington, NC 27295. Pay is $19 per hour, including a $1 shift differential.

Requirements

• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret fractions and decimals.
• Minimum word and number recognition and ability to interpret visual cues.
• Ability to operate power tools, perform basic operations, and know when to change personal protective equipment.
• Ability to identify hazards and understand station-specific safety protocols and PPE.
• Knowledge of measurement standards, tolerances, product defects, and workstation quality requirements/CTQ.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard work, frequently referencing standard work instructions.
• Effective communication skills, including active listening, clear explanations, asking questions, and sharing important information.
• Time management skills and awareness of cycle times.
• Ability to perform arithmetic, including addition and subtraction with fractions and decimals.
• Ability to access and navigate a computer system and identify downloads.
• Ability to use root-cause analysis and solve problems.
• Ability to recognize shapes and compare them with sample drawings.
• Accurate, timely, and legible record keeping, including scrap records.
• Ability to train operators, oversee multiple workstations, interpret schedules, and manage line flow.
• Ability to lead and demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses.
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, and stand.
• Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds for 8 to 12 hours a day.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments and perform repetitive motions while standing for long periods.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on business needs.
• Willingness and ability to work various positions in various departments (cross-trained).
• Ability to comply with company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
• Skills in problem solving, teamwork, communication, and initiative.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma is preferred.
