About The Position

This role is a vital part of the production team, supporting the seamless execution of live and recorded programming through meticulous organization, communication, and coordination. The ideal candidate will serve as a key operational partner, ensuring that all production activities—from pre-production planning to on-site support—are executed efficiently and on time. With a strong focus on detail, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving, this position plays a critical role in maintaining the production’s momentum, especially during high-pressure environments such as live broadcasts or breaking news coverage. The position offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment where initiative, technical aptitude, and collaboration are essential to success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of full-time professional experience in TV production, marketing, radio, or social media, including internship experience.
  • GPA of 3.8 or higher.
  • Strong understanding of politics, journalism, and current events.
  • Exceptional writing, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, anticipate needs, and manage competing priorities effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with non-linear broadcast video editing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and contribute to production meetings to support planning and coordination.
  • Type, edit, copy, and distribute scripts and production documents.
  • Organize and manage travel and accommodation arrangements for cast, crew, and production staff.
  • Prepare and distribute daily schedules, rundowns, cue sheets, and other production documentation.
  • Accurately log video footage and maintain detailed metadata catalogs.
  • Assist cast members with personal and production-related tasks as needed.
  • Facilitate communication and logistics between the production office and other departments.
  • Manage basic accounting duties, including expense processing and petty cash reconciliation.
  • Monitor timing and cuing during live or recorded programs.
  • Set up pre-recorded content for studio or control room use.
  • Create shot lists, production logs, and other materials to support post-production workflows.
  • Monitor live feeds and assist in real-time coverage of breaking news events.
  • Support production crews with planning, equipment coordination, and on-site needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by production leadership.
