About The Position

Are you looking to get your hands on deck of a growing team and company? We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Production Assistant / Team Member to join our team! This is a great entry position into the world of manufacturing, with lots of room for growth! We are hiring at our Mitchell Island location at 11300 Twigg Place on the morning shift: Monday-Friday - 6:00am - 2:30pm Labels Division. Established in 1982, Great Little Box Company is a family-owned and operated leading manufacturer of Labels, Corrugated Boxes & Displays, Folding Cartons, Digital Print & Packaging, Protective Packaging, and the distribution of Shipping Supplies. Responsibilities

Responsible in proper ink preparation, including mixing inks to specified color standards and viscosity requirements
Responsible with ink handling procedures, including labeling, storage, maintaining inventory and minimizing waste or contamination
Support plate mounting processes, including verifying plate orientation, alignment, and accuracy before press setup.
Follow standard procedures to confirm all setup requirements (ink, plates, substrates) align with job tickets and special instructions
Continually look for ways to improve process efficiencies in the manufacturing of label products.
Assist the machine operator in checking for quality assurance.
Ensure that the labels area is kept clean and is always organized by practicing 5S principles.
Other general production duties assigned.
