Production Assembly A-Shift
About The Position
The Production Assembly role sets up and operates assembly equipment and rotates among work cells as directed by a Supervisor or Cell Leader. The position packs finished products for shipment, maintains a safe and clean work area, participates in identifying and implementing cell improvements, and performs duties in accordance with established quality standards. This is an A Shift position, scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Physical requirements include regularly exerting up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally up to 50 pounds, bending at the waist, standing for sustained periods, and moving on foot to accomplish tasks.
Requirements
- Proficient English reading and writing skills, including the ability to read and understand MSDS sheets and standard work instructions.
- Manual dexterity and mechanical proficiency.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools and read measuring devices.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in an assembly or lean manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate assembly equipment, including small hydraulic presses, staking equipment, small drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, and winders.
- Rotate among other work cells as instructed by the Supervisor or Cell Leader.
- Pack finished product for shipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Participate in making and implementing cell improvements.
- Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards.
