Production Assembly A-Shift
About The Position
The Production Assembly role sets up and operates assembly equipment and may rotate among other work cells as instructed by a Supervisor or Cell Leader. The employee packs finished products for shipment, maintains a safe and clean work area, participates in identifying and implementing cell improvements, and performs work in accordance with established quality standards. The position is on A Shift, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work involves sustained standing and moving on foot, bending at the waist, and regularly exerting up to 20 pounds of force, with occasional exertion up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Proficient English reading and writing skills, including the ability to read and comprehend MSDS sheets and standard work instructions.
- At least 1 year of experience in an assembly or lean manufacturing environment.
- Manual dexterity and mechanical proficiency.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment and read measuring devices.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate assembly equipment, including small hydraulic presses, staking equipment, small drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, and winders.
- Rotate in other work cells as instructed by the Supervisor or Cell Leader.
- Pack finished products for shipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Participate in making and implementing cell improvements.
- Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards.
