Production Assembler
About The Position
The Production Assembler sets up and operates assembly equipment, performs work in other cells as instructed, packs finished products for shipment, and maintains a safe and clean work area. The role also participates in cell improvements and performs duties in accordance with established quality standards. The position requires proficient English reading and writing skills to understand MSDS sheets and standard work instructions, along with manual dexterity and mechanical proficiency. The work involves using hand and power tools and measuring devices, standing for sustained periods, moving on foot, bending at the waist, and regularly exerting up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The listed schedule is A Shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Proficient English reading and writing skills, including the ability to read and comprehend MSDS sheets and standard work instructions.
- Manual dexterity and mechanical proficiency.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment and read measuring devices.
- Minimum one year of experience in an assembly or lean manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate assembly equipment, including small hydraulic presses, staking equipment, small drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, and winders.
- Rotate into other work cells as instructed by the Supervisor or Cell Leader.
- Pack finished products for shipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Participate in making and implementing cell improvements.
- Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards.
