About The Position
Stanley Black & Decker is hiring a Production Assembler for its Mission, Texas team. The role assembles parts into units, inspects products for defects, completes reports, and follows work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. It also supports other positions, participates in cross-training, and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as an assembler.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, drawings, and directions.
- Good manual dexterity to assemble parts or pieces quickly and accurately.
- High attention to detail and self-motivation.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Read work instructions and follow established procedures.
- Align materials and assemble parts to build complex units.
- Perform visual inspections to identify defects according to work instructions.
- Complete required reports.
- Reject components that do not meet quality criteria.
- Place sub-assembly packs separately in the pallet fixture to prevent damage.
- Rework defective products, including excess plastic, using tools such as heat guns, pliers, and utility knives.
- Perform work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Provide support for other positions within the area.
- Participate in cross-training activities.
- Ensure personal protective equipment is used.
- Report issues, malfunctions, or defective parts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
