Production Assembler
About The Position
The Production Assembler performs assembly operations for Magna Seating, a manufacturer of complete seating systems and related products for automotive, heavy truck, and bus industries. The role requires rotating among assigned workstations and carrying out multiple operations as needed to meet production requirements, while following established quality, safety, and production standards. The position also supports related production activities and continuous improvement efforts, and promotes teamwork and safe work practices. The position offers a base rate of $19.00 per hour. Shift differentials are $1.00 per hour for B Crew and $1.50 per hour for C Crew. The listed schedules are A Crew, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or end of production; B Crew, Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. or end of production; and C Crew, Friday and Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or end of production. The role is listed as regular/permanent.
Responsibilities
- Learn and consistently perform assembly operations according to established quality, safety, and production standards.
- Rotate through assigned workstations and perform multiple operations as needed to meet production requirements.
- Assist with production-related activities, including cleanup, seat teardown, minor rework, and basic equipment maintenance and adjustments.
- Identify, control, and report non-conforming materials and production issues.
- Recommend and participate in continuous improvement activities to improve production performance, quality, and safety.
- Promote teamwork among fellow associates.
- Work safely and follow company safety policies and procedures.
