About The Position

The Production Assembler III is responsible for the advanced assembly of complex electronic and electro‑mechanical systems. This role requires mastery in working with microscopic, high‑tolerance components and the ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical instructions. The Assembler III applies expert precision skills to assemble delicate components used in electronic test products and is expected to independently validate tolerances, perform process documentation, and support high‑volume production in a fast‑paced, clean‑room environment. Assemblers at this level serve as subject matter experts for specialized equipment, complex assembly sequences, and process optimization to support production throughput and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate laser cutting equipment per documented procedures to cut and extract polymer membranes and component parts for production and engineering builds.
  • Assemble polymer membranes onto electronic probe components, including attachment, alignment, fixturing, UV curing, and managing cure cycles.
  • Perform mechanical assembly of small, mixed‑material parts using screw fasteners, adhesives, and precision tools.
  • Perform all technical tasks required of an Assembler II when needed.
  • Prioritize assembly workflows to maximize throughput based on build queues, cure times, and delivery deadlines.
  • Read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
  • Complete tolerance stack‑up evaluations using basic math calculations.
  • Assemble miniature parts under a microscope, using specialized jigs, fixtures, and hand tools.
  • Set up and execute tests to verify build specifications and product performance.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to support process improvements.
  • Set up and operate a variety of specialized equipment following documented SOPs.
  • Safely handle chemicals—including solvents and adhesives—while complying with all safety, PPE, and clean‑room protocols.
