About The Position

Production Assembler 1 Full-time Simi Valley, CA, US Exclusive confidential search — details shared with qualified applicants. Become a Key Player as a Production Assembler 1 You will support consistent, high-quality assembly of small mechanical and electromechanical components to keep production on schedule and maintain product reliability. You will work onsite on the 1st shift (M–F, 5:00am–1:30pm) with the production team and shop floor leads to follow documented processes and ensure parts meet specifications.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant assembler experience
• Ability to read blueprints/schematic drawings and interpret company manufacturing documents
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for handling small parts
• Able to operate hand tools and light machinery and perform basic mathematics
• Must be a U.S. person as required by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee)

• Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a related field
• Aerospace industry experience
• Sewing experience
• Troubleshooting knowledge

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly of small parts and components following company instructions and procedures
• Review shop traveler/route cards or simple schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operations
• Position very small parts under a binocular microscope using tweezers or fixtures and solder or bond parts as required
• Adjust, bend, align, and solder fine wires to resistors and base parts; apply epoxies and use ovens or direct heating elements for bonding/sealing
• Conduct in-process testing and follow safety policies and procedures
• Maintain regular, consistent attendance and be available for variable schedules, nights, weekends, or additional hours as necessary
