About The Position

As an Assembler 1 or Assembler 1 - Line 1, you will assemble generator sets and sub-assemblies across standard and non-standard product lines, using hand and power tools and following quality and procedural techniques. The role is based in Mankato, Minnesota, and is full time. Relocation assistance will not be provided.

Assembler 1 duties include performing basic assembly using work instructions, drawings, and schematics; recognizing defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship, and other quality issues; developing product knowledge and adapting to process changes; and cross-training and assisting in multiple assembly areas. The Assembler 1 - Line 1 role focuses on interpreting mechanical instructions, drawings, and schematics to assemble Line 1 HPR Units. Both roles require following safety, environmental, and company procedures and contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• For Assembler 1 - Line 1, at least 2 years of hands-on mechanical experience, such as assembling, repairing, or maintaining equipment, vehicles, machinery, or similar systems. Experience may come from work, military service, vocational training, or personal projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic assembly duties using work instructions, drawings, and schematics in designated work areas.
• Assemble generator sets and sub-assemblies, including standard and non-standard products.
• For Line 1, read and interpret mechanical instructions, drawings, and schematics to assemble Line 1 HPR Units.
• Recognize or inspect parts and assemblies for defects, damage, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship, and other quality issues.
• Continuously develop product knowledge and adapt to process changes.
• Cross-train in multiple assembly areas and assist other teams as needed.
• Follow safety, environmental, and company procedures during assembly operations.
• Contribute to and participate in departmental continuous improvement initiatives.
