About The Position

We are looking for a Production Administration Specialist to support production departmental clerical, data analysis, and special projects tasks. This role involves performing clerical duties and various assignments related to production control as assigned by the plant manager. The specialist will provide cross-functional administration support to facilitate seamless information flow, audit and adjust production schedules based on continuous analysis of customer forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet On-Time Shipment, and develop mitigation strategies to achieve the On-time Shipment goal. The role also includes expediting and following “Hot” or “Special” orders through each process, reporting status and exceptions to the Plant Manager, and participating in total quality management projects for continuous improvement. The specialist must coordinate ship quantities with the shipping department, coordinate with customers to gather shipping information, and coordinate with logistics companies. Key responsibilities also include computing and analyzing daily key production metrics (OEE, On-Time, etc.), ensuring data accuracy/integrity of labor reports & job costing, participating in LEAN manufacturing to reduce waste via DOWNTIME (e.g., identifying paper-work reduction initiatives), maintaining an acceptable attendance record, reporting safety or quality concerns immediately, complying with all APP, Inc. safety rules and company policies, ensuring prompt reporting of accidents or injuries, and wearing proper Personal Protection Equipment. The role may also involve performing other duties as instructed by APP Leadership.

Requirements

  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
  • High School or equivalent.
  • 4+ years’ experience in an office environment.
  • Proficient English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend).
  • Advanced computer literacy, typing skill, Microsoft Office, Excel, Power-Point.
  • Statistics (identifying trends).
  • Basic Math.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work in a demanding fast paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing ERP system experience.
  • Associate’s Degree in a related field.
  • 1+ year in a manufacturing setting.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
