Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineer, automotive engineering, or related field.
2+ Years of Experience in a similar role and/or proven experience as a test engineer in the automotive industry
Experience with Recreational Vehicles and deep understanding of customer pain points
Knowledge of testing standards and methodologies to ensure proper and detailed data collection
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines
Ability to hitch and tow vehicles (experience preferred).
Valid California Driver’s License
Comfortable working independently in remote environments for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans across the vehicle while considering product specifications, industry standards, and user experience
Collect, analyze, and interpret test data and propose improvements to the existing product to ensure a seamless and quality user experience
Investigate and determine the root causes of product failures or performance issues and issue corrective actions
Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and findings. Prepare test reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Work closely with engineering to provide daily feedback and insights, contributing to product improvements and innovations
Identify opportunities for process and product improvement, implement best practices, and suggest innovative testing methodologies to enhance product quality
Manage and prioritize multiple testing projects simultaneously to meet project timelines while delivering high quality results
