As a Product Test Analyst working on hiking, trail and road running footwear, you will create, implement, and communicate the results of fit and wear testing for seasonal in-line products and innovation projects. Your role will report to the Senior Product Testing Analyst and involve identifying trends, providing actionable recommendations, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes. You will be engaged in the product creation process from pre-season briefing to product launch requiring ongoing communication and collaboration with internal business partners. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. Collaborate across the footwear teams to validate product components and complete products, measuring their fit, comfort, performance, and durability. Design perception and durability tests informed by product risk and end-use specifics. Recruit, educate, and maintain network of product testers throughout the product creation process to ensure collection of impactful insights. Part of this will be utilizing our 3D foot scanner and recruiting fit models per foot shape. Establish and maintain relationships with external testing partners (Universities, run clubs, etc.). Fit test prototypes at every stage to ensure fit is true to size and to provide feedback to development on adjustments needed through formal test reports. Evaluate, analyze, and communicate test results to respective x-functional teams and maintain results/reports in respective systems. Support the tech review and top of production approval processes (CFM sample and Extreme Sizes) which include fittings, dynamic wear testing, checking of all standards to ensure they are within tolerances and that materials/constructions match BOM specs. Deliver seasonal summary reports to provide an understanding about consumer feedback on category specific product. Provide continuous improvement and input to test procedures, processes, standards, and requirements. Communication with VFA counterparts on risk assessment, best practices, and constructions to ensure best-in-class product integrity.
