About The Position

Imerys is seeking a Product Sustainability Intern to support its product sustainability program by conducting cradle-to-gate Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for mineral-based products. The intern will map environmental impacts from extraction through the factory gate, lead technical LCA work, and support workshops that align sustainability efforts with global market needs. The position is based in Roswell, Georgia, on a hybrid basis, runs from January through December, and is part-time during school semesters.

Requirements

• Coursework in life cycle assessments.
• Pursuing a degree or a recent graduate in environmental science, engineering, data science, sustainability, or a related field.
• Ability to understand and analyze large data sets.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Graduate-level education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design LCA questionnaires and collaborate with site managers to collect site-specific data.
• Build and manage product flows using Holis software, calculate environmental impacts, and integrate results into group-wide systems.
• Develop LCA cards and Ecoprofiles for diverse product families.
• Organize and support market alignment workshops to identify sustainable solutions for products in application.
• Create internal educational materials explaining the business value and environmental importance of LCAs to stakeholders.
